Hermosa Beach Living
With a
name-derived from the word "beautiful" in Spanish-that
reflects the town's charm, Hermosa Beach is a diverse and
scenic coastal town. Its approximate 20,000 residents enjoy
endless sunshine and beautiful beaches for swimming, surfing,
boating, sun bathing, running, bicycling and rollerblading.
Industries that provide ....
..... employment in
Hermosa Beach include professional, scientific, management,
administrative and waste management services, educational, health
and social services, manufacturing, information, finance, insurance,
real estate and rental and leasing. Students in grades K-12 attend
schools of the Hermosa Beach City Elementary School District and
districts of neighboring towns. Several colleges.....
.....and universities-including Loyola Marymount University,
which is less than a 20-minute drive away-are in proximity. Hermosa
Beach is a quick six-mile ride from Los Angeles International
Airport south on Pacific Coast Highway, along the world-famous
California beaches. With its neighbors, to the north Manhattan Beach
and Redondo Beach to the south, it is part of one of the longest
stretches of developed beaches in the United States. Lovely
properties abound with easy access to incredible shopping, excellent
schools and large business centers. Hermosa Beach real estate
options consist of single-family detached homes, estate properties,
condominiums and townhouses.
Hermosa Beach real estate is highly select. Single-family detached homes
are priced starting from the high $800,000s for homes with
scenic ocean views. Large, spectacular estates with fireplaces
and gorgeous ocean views are priced from just from $5 to $7
million. Condominiums and townhouses range in price from the
low $400,000s to close to $3 million.
In addition to a very popular weekly Farmer’s Market and
year-round volleyball tournaments, Hermosa Beach holds many
events throughout the year to foster family and community fun.
July through September, Hermosa Beach residents can bring
their picnic baskets and blankets to the beach and enjoy free
summer concerts, and in August residents can hula and surf at
the Aloha Days Surf Festival. The bi-annual Fiesta Hermosa
attracts more than 120,000 visitors and is an exciting street
fair that features award-winning arts and crafts, live
entertainment with two sound stages, kiddy rides, a restaurant
cantina and a beer and wine garden. It is held each Labor and
